Central Excise Division, Dhanbad was created in the year 1975. For
several years the office was running in hired building and shifted to
its own building in the Month of Oct.’1995
The divisional office is located in its own building situated at
H.E.School Road, Vistipara, Hirapur, Dhanbad and is spacious enough.
All the sections of the division are functioning from this building.
Also, there is a Guest House at the ground floor of the office
building, but it is not furnished. |

The Dhanbad Divisional Office is situated at H.E. School Road,
Vistipara, Dhanbad Presently the jurisdiction of Dhanbad Division
under Ranchi Commissionerate, covers the District of Dhanbad, Deoghar,
Sahibganj, Godda, Dumka and Pakur and newly created District of
Jamtara.
